About Litchfield Day Tour

Litchfield Gold - Wanderer

do it right

The Litchfield Gold Wanderer day tour is for those who want to get out and about and truly appreciate what the Top End has to offer.

Ancient stone fringed paths, pristine creeks and waterholes fed by cascading waterfalls are the backdrops for your experience.

Qualified local eco-friendly Australians are your guides.

Anything is possible on the Litchfield Gold Wanderer one day tour from Darwin.

Begin your Litchfield day tour in the City around 7:30 am journeying south to the crystal clear waters of Berry Springs. This natural spring is partially geothermally heated making it the perfect place for a lazy early morning dip whilst enjoying our homemade mango muffins and morning coffee.

Paddle around and watch the many fish, look for turtle, or sit casually under the waterfall. These are the type of difficult decisions you will have to make today.

Dragging ourselves away from this piece of heaven we set our sights on the historic township of Batchelor, the gateway to Litchfield. Along the way get to know the landscape and history of the Top End as your local guide lets you in on the past and present before arriving at Batchelor Town. In Batchelor we take the time to enjoy the Batchelor museum which showcases many personal stories of the people and events which shaped the NT and Australia as a whole.

Whilst you are delving into history your experiential leader will be busily knocking up the Wild Bush BBQ lunch in our exclusive lunch spot.

Having been treated during lunch it is time to enter Litchfield National Park and immerse yourself in its beauty and attractions of Litchfield including the cascading waterfalls, swimming spots and viewpoints.

There is also ample opportunity here to go for a stroll along the rainforest shaded creeks or just sit and relax. If bush survival is of interest then let us introduce you to some of the native plants and their uses also.

Whatever you want it is here.

a great trip into Australia's Top End region with a very homely, personal feeling to it! Rob was a very energetic yet patient guide that took great care of evey guest and responded to individual needs in a special way! Also, extremely yummy but healthy homecooked food and a cheerful but educational atmosphere made the tour with ethical adventures really an unforgettable experience! Can only recommend to book a tour and enjoy a day that is fully taken care of!

Rob and his lovely wife gave us the most amazing day at Litchfield National Park wet and wild tour. My husband, 3 sons and I all loved the secret hideaway swimming spots, the walks, scenery, pace, size of the group and the delicious home made snacks and BBQ lunch...ethical adventures won us over, and we'd highly recommend it to young and old
